Subject: An Approach to Gravity Modification as a Propulsion Technology

Publication: SPESIF 2009, American Institute of Physics Conference Proceedings

Location: WorldNPA.org (Internet webinar using dimdim.com)

Time: 7:00-9:00 AM US Pacific Time

Abstract: Gravity modification as a portable non-mass effect is feasible. Contemporary experiments such as HFGW and LIGO require mass to model gravitational acceleration and gravitational waves. A different approach to gravitational acceleration, and thus space propulsion technologies is presented here. This paper proposes that gravitational acceleration on any particle is the effect of the deformation of the shape and mass of the particle due to non-inertia transformations present in that local region of the gravitational field. The analytical formulation and numerical integration has led to the discovery of a new formula for gravitational acceleration, g = τc2, that is neither a function of the mass of the gravitational source nor a function of gravitational waves; where τ is a function of the time dilation present in the local gravitational field. This formula has been tested and verified to be correct in the gravitational fields of the nine planetary bodies in our Solar System, and the Sun; mechanical acceleration, and electromagnetic fields. Thus leading to the inference that g = τc2 is the generic formula for all non-nuclear force fields. The true power of this definition of gravitational acceleration lies in the fact that it now lends itself to a portable technology, as mass is no longer required to derive acceleration. This new relationship for acceleration, describes how an electron moving in a magnetic field causes a force on the electron, and explains why the electron velocity, magnetic field and resulting force relationship is orthogonal. This electron model would be the basis for future propulsion technologies.

 All,

Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer.

SPESIF-2010 is coming together and abstracts have been coming in as expected, but more is needed.

I would like to remind you that the initial abstract deadline of 15 July is next week.

As this is an initial deadline:

  • For papers: the deadline is extended until 15 August, but I must remind you that your full manuscript must be finalized through our review process by 15 November to be placed in the AIP proceedings.
  • For presentations, there is no deadline as long as room exist in a session. However, for planning purposes, we ask that at least a title be sent in over the next two months to be logged in and assigned to a session.
  • Government employees or contractors under long approval times may also sent in a title to be logged in and assigned to a session.

Additional, plenary speakers are sought for our two Plenary session (30 min presentations):

I’m was very pleased with ISDC 2009. It was well organized and there were a lot of very good talks by various presenters at the different tracks during the conference. The kids space station design contest (NSS-NASA-and I forget the 3rd organization)  inspired a lot of grade school teams from around the world!

My presentation, “Stealth, Invisibility and Deep Space Radiation Shielding” was very well attended. There were more than 40 in the audience, and many, many questions. I’ve posted the presentation and video at iSETI LLC’s white papers.

I’ll be presenting a 1st draft of my findings at the International Space Development Conference 2009, May 28, 4:00pm. Here is the schedule link http://www.nss.org/isdc/ISDC_2009_Program_Agenda_Web.pdf

Summary of Findings:
1. The photon probability distribution is not a Gaussian distribution.
2. Further enhancements for quantum entanglement experiments.
3. A new model for shielding, cloaking/stealth & invisibility that presents all three as different forms of the same phenomenon.
4. Two new material design strategies.

For those of you who are interested, this would be a great opportunity to meet face-to-face and explore collaboration and/or funding, and let me know in advance.

In the next 20 years radical innovation will completely change the face of our economy. Completely.

This last 10 years I have been conducting experiments, testing hypotheses, and building numerical models to figure out how gravity works. I discovered a new formula for gravitational acceleration, g=tau.c^2, that has no mass in the equation. And much more.

This is a very major breakthrough in physics and technology as this is the first formula of its kind since before Newton. Even more so as this has been a one-man effort working out of his “garage” as opposed to a nationally funded institutional effort. Yes, there is still hope for the little guy.

This year, 2009, I accepted the honor of Session Co-Chairman, A03.1. Theories, Models and Concepts at Space, Propulsion & Energy Sciences International Forum (SPESIF), a peer reviewed conference whose papers are published by the American Institute of Physics (AIP) as AIP Conference Proceedings.

 SPESIF link: http://www.ias-spes.org/SPESIF.html

My research can be viewed at http://www.iSETI.us/

I am interested in speaking about this new physics and technology to organizations and institutions interested in how to manage research and development, universities who would like to expose their students to radical ideas and processes, and radio shows to the lay public, and focused audiences. I apologize but right now physical locations are restricted to the US.

Progress (1):
I have used my numerical modeling expertise to derive a formula for gravitational acceleration that does not have mass in the formula, g=tau.c^2, where tau is the ratio of the change in time dilation to the change in distance.

Progress (2):
In the process I discovered non-inertia, Ni, fields, a shared property of gravitational, mechanical and electromagnetic forces.

Progress (3):
That work also showed that gravitational acceleration is independent of the internal structure of a particle, i.e. need not be quantum, string or anything else – gravity does not care.

Progress (4):
Therefore, I sought to find out what was the true probability distribution of a photon. Well, it is not a Gaussian distribution. It is a modified Gamma distribution.

The first three finding have been published as an American Institute of Physics Conference Proceeding, 2009.

Collaboration Sought:
I have almost completed developing elegantly simple photon behavior based on modified Gamma probability distribution that is not related to quantum theory. I’m looking for practitioners (scientist or engineers) who will collaborate with me to prove or disprove these formulae.  They need to have free access to lab, materials and their own sources of funding.

Example Testing:
(1) Quantum entanglement- there are additional restrictions that need to be tested.
(2) Shielding – There is a method to reducing the shielding effectiveness.
(3) Cloaking – This is a little more difficult but I think that cloaking is not the same as invisibility.

Please do contact me if you are interested in the possibility of collaboration. In particular I am interested in talking to materials manufactures who could, if we are successful, manufacture very light weight radiation shielding materials for future space exploration, etc.

I need to have some background info and how you would like to collaborate.

If there are enough responses I will set up a collaboration group on LinkedIn or Google Groups

For those not familiar with SPESIF, this conference has been described as “out of the box world represented by the excellent SPESIF Conference and before it, STAIF”. Papers presented will be published as American Institute of Physics Conference Proceedings.

I had a great time at SPESIF 2009, this February presenting my paper “An Approach to Gravity Modification as a Propulsion Technology”. It was well recieved. I will be posting a slightly revised version of this paper to account for a minus sign in the electromagnetic force analysis, soon.

I wanted to write up about this in this blog, but how time flies. I’ve been working on a related paper that the experimental data suggests that a photon’s probability distribution is not a Gaussian function.

My strategy here is to make available some general formulae about how we can use this model to design new materials, to the public. In particular mateials manufacturers, so that these formulae can be tested before I present my work next year. To this objective I will be contacting my alma mater(s), Aston University (UK), Lancaster University (UK), University College Dublin (Ireland), and Texas Instruments.

If you would like more information on these formulae, do contact me. My interest is to facilitate the development of space exploration technologies, and I’m willing to share what I have researched.
